Giles really worked with me to get a car that I now absolutely love. And the salesman that helped me was incredible. I don't want to seem partial, but I wanted to thank Adam for helping me so much. If the other salesman are anything like Adam, you're going to have a great experience.
The vehicle has amazed me beyond my expectations. I have been a fan of the Subaru Outback for some time now, having ridden in a few of them over the years. But the more I drive this vehicle, the more I realize how great the car is. The safety features first off, are incredible. Besides all of the other features, the eyesight component is extremely valuable to me now, as it literally saved my butt from an accident within the first 24 hours of owning the vehicle. I had looked at my steering column for as little as two seconds, just to turn on my rear wipers. At which point, a car decided to immediately stop in front of me, while not even at an intersection, to let a pedestrian cross the street. Had my car not alerted me, I probably would have ran into the back of him, possibly causing him to hit the pedestrian as well.
I must say I am more pleased than I could've expected with my experience buying from Giles. Jake was a great salesman, who always gave the impression of being trustworthy, as well as knowledgable about the vehicles he was selling. I'm the type of person who hates pushy salesmen, and once I feel like I am being pressured, I refuse to buy anything at that point, and just leave.
But with Jake, I never once felt pressured to buy immediately. But rather, he took the time to answer all of my questions, as well as providing more information about the vehicles than I even thought to ask him about. I felt throughout the entire experience that he was striving to make sure that I was making the most informed decision possible.
And as for "technically" being a station wagon, there is nothing about the car that makes you think station wagon. The car is large enough that it feels like an SUV, as well as the fact that it handles more like a high performance vehicle with the all wheel drive, as well as the boxer engine thats in it. Which all translates to more confidence in the vehicle in bad weather, as well as having to merge into traffic onto interstates and highways, as I often have to do. Overall, I feel like the car is over the top with safety, which is a great thing for hauling around my equipment for work, as well as, and more importantly, hauling around 3 kids!
