If I could give it less than one star, I would. The manager was very rude! (I was employed there for three weeks) During those 3 weeks, 5 workers quit. They made us overcharge customers, only hired black & Mexican employees, & treated the front end cashiers with so much disrespect. I asked the manager in the office if she could treat me with respect as I do her. She told me I was fake, immature, childish...anything you could think of. Because of her, the company will never prosper. I never met such a rude, 60 year old in my life. The boss takes her word for everything & they do act weird when together...(at first I thought she was his wife), but if you ever think about working there....DON'T. That sign will always stay up because they don't know how to treat their employees & customers. Take your business & service elsewhere.
Potential employees beware! This is not a work-friendly environment. The job itself is not difficult, but the managers are unprofessional and completely unreasonable. The manager and owner have a strange relationship. I assumed it was his wife at first, but they seem to flirt with each other all day and take each other's word on anything no matter the situation. In the 4 months that I worked there, 7 employees quit (5 being cashiers). Nobody got along with the manager (ms.zetta). She constantly spoke down to employees in a condescending tone. She never smiled or gave even the slightest words of encouragement or appreciation. I've never had a job where an employer outright calls their employees "idiot" or "stupid". I've seen the owner refuse refunds and insulting customers after destroying their clothes. Be prepared to have your schedule changed throughout the week without notice, and be expected to show up despite having class or any other plans or you'll be fired. Be prepared to work more than your requested hours due to constant shortness of staff. On my first day there, the manager told me "I usually start new people off making $9/hour, but I'll start you off at $8/hour". Why would you even say that? The last straw for me was when my schedule was changed 3 times in one week. The manager told me that I had to work Friday, then I didn't have to work, then again that I did have to work and that I'd be fired if I didn't cancel my plans and come to work. My plans for that particular Friday was to go to a job interview. I planned on giving my two weeks notice, but needless to say, I quit that day and I now have a much better job. I'm working my way through college right now, and there's way too many good part time jobs available in Lafayette for students paying $8- $9/hour for me to have stayed there and continue to be disrespected. Don't work here. Honestly McDonalds or retail is better than this dump.
Don't ever go here or work for this company. I wish I could give this company zero stars! The manager cursed me out and called me all kinds of names. The owner do not care is the manager talk to you any kind of way. All of the negative reviews are true. I wrote a review and some how it's not up there anymore. So I am writing it again. I will make sure to speak my mind on any company that disrespected their employees or customers. This company is a disgrace. For those reasons they will always be hiring for front end employees.
I brought in a new comforter for dry cleaning. The filling was a just a bunch of clustered lumps when I picked it up. No help from manger on duty. "Well, we dry cleaned it." No, you ruined it!
Terrible Customer Service. Expensive suit jacket ruined. Employee inspected suit coat at counter as SOP. Receive it with 6 holes in jacket 2 hrs prior to wedding dinner. Totally unwearable. If the jacket mysteriously developed holes I would think I would get a phone call as they do everything by your phone number. Will file BBB compliant on the lack of customer service.
