i brought in a watch for a battery change, i was told the jeweler was too busy just leave it and pick it up the monday after. They insisted in taking all of my info , phone number, name, full address, a photo of the watch.
Took my fiancee's gold necklace chain in for repair. Got a different necklace chain back. It is now 3 inches loner, has different chain links, and is much thinner, and is probably not even gold.
I went the following tuesday to pick up the watch even though i did NOT get the call on monday as they promised. the person behind the counter looked in the drawer couldn't find it, went into the back couldn't find it.
She did that 3 times before coming out of the back with the watch and told me it was NOT ready, they needed my authorization to order a battery. NO ONE CALLED !! They waited till i went to pick it up to ask if i wanted to order a battery and wait a couple of more days. I left went to William S Nacol across town and had the battery changed while i waited.
It took less time for the whole process than it did to just check in the watch at Andy's
