So easy to rent a car here. They even brought the van around to meet us at the luggage area. Returning it was even easier. Highly recommend.
While I was in town visiting a friend of mine to help her move, she called to reserve a specific vehicle to help us move more efficiently. She was told over the phone that the vehicle was available. So she preceded to walk (in this Louisiana heat) to pick up this vehicle. When she arrived she asked once again was the specific vehicle she wanted available and again she was told yes. So in the process of payment, she was offered a "free upgrade" aka we actually don't have this vehicle on the late. This disregard for what the customer actually wants to make a sale is a major turn off. As I have a wedding coming up I'll be sure to tell my guest they may need to find a different car rental company, one who will give them what they ask for and not having something pushed on them to make a sale.
Can't ever get in contact with employees here and when you can, they're complete assholes. Never going to get mine, nor my family's business again.
I asked for a specific car model when I reserved my car over the phone, and was told one was available. So I walked 2.6 miles to pick it up, asked the idiot lady at the register if she was sure one was available (twice) and was asured there was. However, when it was time to give me the keys, I suddenly qualified for a free upgrade, because THE CAR MODEL I SPECIFICALLY ASKED ABOUT 3 TIMES WAS NOT AVAILABLE. I then asked for the cheapest car price and was lied to... (I know it was a lie, because it was cheaper online). Don't go here if you want an honest business transaction. They're so busy trying to make a sale they either don't listen or don't care about what the renter wants, and lie to you. I then proceeded to walk the 2.6 miles home, since they were so shady.
Very reliable and fast service. Also nice fleet of cars and free upgrades when current customer car size is unavailable. Strongly recommend Alamo to everyone.
I genuinely wish I could give this garbage place zero stars. Through the whole process of making a reservation and calling to confirm it, we were never notified of the MANY stipulations for renting under the age of 25. Ultimately, we were refused a vehicle on the day of rental and my brother had to cancel his entire honeymoon.
