I absolutely love this place! Definitely a walk through the past. I went with family and we had a blast, so interesting learning about the lives of Acadians. The walk through town is fascinating in many ways from the home structure, to the furniture inside the homes, and even the plants outside of the homes. Definitely a great place to visit if into history or if you like the walk through experiences.

Great place to hold parties and events, plus delightful way to learn Cajun history and way of life by seeing people actually dress, work, and live in period clothes.

If you like history, a must see. I loved the watershed and historic buildings. Spent almost 4 hours. The restaurant inside is worth the try. I had lunch buffet, it was tasty.

This is a treasure right down the road, great way to spend a beautiful day. Every event I've been to there was very enjoyable. The interesting historic buildings and wonderful scenery will have everyone happy.

My oldest daughter who is 3 had a blast here when we walked around the village. Some of the attractions (such as the science section) are interactive just for kids. They do weddings & special occasion events. They also offer tours in English & french for tourist/school visits (The plaques are written in both language's as well if I remember right). Within the Vermillionville village they have a restaurant. The food served here definitely hits home if looking for comfort food. If anyone is coming through Louisiana and ends up going through Lafayette, this place is not only a great place to stretch the legs, but also get a bite to eat by getting a true taste of the Cajun cuisine.
