Today I called our local Lafayette, Louisiana social security office to find out some information on my special retirement supplement. A young lady answered and I just KNEW she would have NO clue about what I needed. Well, Well, I was nicely surprised when this young lady, Brooke, answered ALL of my questions about the supplement and even gave me a telephone number to OPM. She then went on to respond about my hearing impairment. She did have to put me on a BRIEF hold to consult with another and that was absolutely RIGHT. I'd rather ALL of us learn together then for her to just say she didn't know or feed me some bull.
Things went smooth, sign in, take a number, be seated and was seen, not too bad of a wait time.
They're very helpful and get you done in a short time.
I would like to salute Brooke for her efforts and answers. It's warming to know that Brook works in a place that is training her and it's nice to hear in HER voice that she likes her job. Keep up the great work, Brooke!
The young woman was very helpful. She took care of things very quickly. Everyone there has been extremely nice and cheerful.
