Otherwise, shopping at Super 1 is usually a very good experience.
Their prices are competitive and they have a variety from which to choose.
I use one of the motorized carts because of problems with my feet. Today as I was leaving, the cart wouldn't move. I had to transfer my items to another cart. When I left I noticed there was a male employee sitting on the bench by the exit. He didn't get up to help me. This is not typical of employees there. I usually return the cart to the store and walk back with my cane, but today I left it out in the parking lot.
Employees are helpful and accommodating and pleasant.
Very pleasant and helpful do employees, from stock clerks and bag boys on up. I am older and have limited mobility from cancer. They help me with the scooter, reaching items too high and/or heavy for me. They are always like this, not just once in a while. That is so important to me. Your stock is plentiful and priced no higher than stores where I don't get such good treatment, so guess who will get my business every time? You guys! Thank.
I get plate lunches from their deli two to three times a week as Super One is located close to my home and they have great daily specials. After today however, that will change. While they are usually generous with their portions, today the Deli Manager, Chelsea, stopped a worker from serving me to say that she had cut off too big of a slice of the brisket I had ordered. Coming from a restaurant background, I figured that maybe she was just being a perfectionist and needed to train her employee, but instead she made the girl serve me the smallest sliver of brisket with complete seriousness. When I remarked that that portion was barely a single serving and not like the normal size, she argued with me before eventually rolling her eyes and slicing off another small portion. She then made my second plate lunch, and I in quite the tizzy from the terrible management styles as previously mentioned, neglected to watch her closely enough. That being said, when I got home I noticed my second plate lunch was incorrect as well. She had given me two chicken tenders, instead of the normal three, and one of them had no almost no chicken in it. The cherry on top of it all is that she gave us the wrong sides too. Never in my life have I experienced such bad customer service as this. Avoid Chelsea at all costs!!
I always have a good experience shopping at Super 1. I have been shopping there for over twenty years. The employees are usually polite and helpful.
Great customer service, fresh meat and produce all at great prices. The bakery is fantastic! We are ALWAYS satisfied with their cakes and sweets.
