Update: Was hoping to get an answer from the owner or management. I see you guys have responded to many other post, boasting of striving to serve the freshest and highest quality ingredients. I am curious as to what steps/actions you guys take in order to do so? Thanks. I am really looking for a reason to come back.
What started off as a unpleasant experience with my family managed to take an amazing turn. While traveling back home to Houston,Tx from New Orleans we decided to stop for a hearty breakfast. Upon entering this establishment, we were greeted by your host and hostess. They informed us that it would be a 20-30 min wait due to the 6 people we had on our party. They gave us the option to sit at the bar. This is where it turned a bit unpleasant. We were traveling with 3 underage children and preferred they sit at the high table in the bar area versus at the actual bar. We asked the lady at the bar if that was ok. She very rudely said that we couldn’t just seat ourselves wherever we wanted to. Keep in mind that’s precisely why we asked. So I proceeded to ask the host and he proceeded to seat us when she started rudely telling him the same thing. When I told her that he was there to seat part of our party like she asked, she somewhat calmed. At this point we didn’t want to let her run us off, but we certainly did not want to be sat in her area. We all decided to wait to be sat together. While waiting the manager named Morgan came over and sincerely apologized for the situation. Once seated Morgan had water and bignetes for the table. Our server and our food was great!!!! At one point the the other server surprised us and stopped by our table and apologize, we definitely weren’t expecting that. Morgan went above and beyond what she had to do and we appreciate that so much. Thank you all for turning a bad start into a great first visit for my family members. Thanks for proving I’m not a liar!
Great food. Try the brie and lobster omelette. Had to wait a bit but well worth it. Wish they would bus the empty tables a little faster. Watched for 20 minutes while 4 tables sat empty.
This place has continually been going down hill over the past year, but today was the absolute worse by far, will not be coming back. The waffle they brought to me was cold and stale, and I still cant tell what it is but there was something in my anduille sausage that was hard as a rock-literally was scared I chipped my tooth-and My pouched egg was already busted when they brought it out, but finally they brought me a spiked drink when I asked for a non-alcoholic version...I'm under-aged. I must reluctantly suggest you spend your money/time elsewhere as this place has fallen apart.
Great staff and setting. Although limited to mostly brunch items on the menu each thing we tried was clearly made with love and we'll go back whenever we're in the area
The food was awesome and the services was great for a busy place. I will be back...no doubt!!
